This unique Arkansas-shaped watercolor painting captures a breathtaking view from Cooks Landing in North Little Rock, looking west toward I-430 and Pinnacle Mountain. The Arkansas River, crisp blue skies, and the first signs of fall foliage create a vibrant yet peaceful scene. Painted with Daniel Smith professional watercolor paint on 100% cotton cold press paper, this one-of-a-kind piece is beautifully displayed in a shadowbox frame with a green background, adding depth and character. What's better than one forest of trees? TWO! A serene watercolor depicting a blue sky day and the water perfectly reflecting the gold and crimson beauty of an Arkansas fall at Lake Willastein in Maumelle. The original art is 8x10" on 100% cotton watercolor paper using Daniel Smith watercolor paint and framed in an elegant vintage oak frame.

Highlighting a gorgeous orange sunset in the sky and also reflected by the water of the Central Arkansas White Oak Bayou, this piece hangs in my home and serves as a daily reminder of the quiet moments found along the trail-perfect for days when I can't be there in person. Whether you're drawn in by nature's stillness or the warmth of sunset reflections, this piece embodies the beauty of Arkansas' wetland areas. Thie is one of the largest I've done at 16x20" on Saunders Waterford watercolor paper.

Trees are my favorite! The reference photo for this piece was taken on a crisp February morning showing the golden-tinged leaves and bare winter trees with the sun behind just coming up over Lake Willastein! It was painted on professional watercolor paper and the highlighted leaves were achieved by sprinkling table salt on damp watercolor paint. (and this time it worked!)

Another Arkansas one! Golden fields, blue water and tree covered mountains! Sometimes it's all about the background (dark velvety green) and this fabulous gold beaded thrifted frame! The process: paint as usual with professional watercolor paint and paper, trace shape and cut, spray 3 coats of UV resistant acrylic spray and then mount to background. Ta-da!

Transforming cherished moments into beautiful watercolor paintings for lasting memories and joy! Take a look at some of my favorite paintings!

The magic of "Golden Hour"- when there's a beautiful sunset to the right, purple clouds to the left, the Arkansas River in front of you and really long shadows on the lush green grass! Framed in a new repurposed 18" frame. This one is available for purchase! Just ask!

Look at these two love bugs! Big Brother Tapatio and his little sister Ramen Noodle! They each have an individual ornament, but they also had their "big" picture painted together- the way they like to be! Painted on 100% cotton watercolorpaper with professional watercolors paint.

Had SO much fun with these tiny pets (2 1/2-4" circles) painted on watercolor paper and then affixed to wooden holiday ornaments! The ones I made this year are gold on the back and have the pet's name and year (if desired) painted on, but can be customized. What a special memory to see every season- whether your pet is still physically with you or not. This precious one is Wrigley! If you'd like one for this year, don't wait!!

Sweet sweet Honey! Don't you want to pet her? Painted for a friend to give to Honey's Mama on Arches cold-pressed watercolor paper with Daniel Smith watercolors. The dark teal background really makes her honey colored fur pop! Art is 5x7" matted and framed in an 8x10" black frame.

Of course we didn't forget our feline friends! (they weren't the smiliest of models, but they sure make their people smile!) You can tell Miss Margot LOVES having her own fancy ornament!

But apparently geckos DO smile! Look how happy Trevor is to be part of the holiday festivities! I have yet to paint a pet bird, rabbit, bearded dragon...but I'm willing to try!

This gorgeous family home looks so welcoming! I got to do bricks and stone with this one! And fun landscaping and window reflections. I think this sweet family loves having an original watercolor of the house their kids are growing up in! And even if they eventually move, they will always have this permanent memory!

Another new-build white home for a newlywed couple! "White of the paper" white with subtle details. Looks like a fresh start for a fresh new family! My favorite part is the dog of the house guarding the door! This customer wanted the address in calligraphy on the bottom, but I can put family name, address, date established or whatever you want! It's important to use professional light-fast watercolor paint and high-quality cotton watercolor paper as I have so this memory will last for generations!

I learned a lot with this one! First-I loved how the sky turned out on Arches cotton watercolor paper with Rosa Gallery indigo! Wasn't sure how to paint an almost all white house...Buff Titanium (Daniel Smith) to the rescue! Used a very light wash on cold press paper for the house and almost straight from the tube Buff for window frames.

These were super fun and unique! I was going to paint with acrylic on a 9" thin wooden pumpkin cut out, but decided to mix and match with some already painted watercolor landscapes and florals! Why not? I painted the bare wood background and back a metallic bronze (or orange) and then cut landscapes to fit, protected the watercolors with acrylic spray and then affixed to the pumpkin background with matte medium.

As a kindergarten teacher and Mom, my very favorite children's author has always been Eric Carle! Very Hungry Caterpillar anyone? Once I got brave enough to cut up some finished but not loved watercolor paintings to make pumpkins I was brave enough to keep cutting! I then followed Eric Carle's inspiration to make these cheerful collages on flat canvasses with matte medium. Still have 2 of these available!

Love how these bright fall leaves in their dark moody background turned out- especially finished in this gold upcycled frame! I used a "negative painting" technique using layers and painting"backwards!" Painted with professional watercolor paints and high quality cotton paper for durability.

Florals and more fun stuff!

I may have been practicing my whole life (um...in church, faculty meetings, while on the phone...) to eventually create these "Doodle Hearts!" Doodled with Micron pens on cotton watercolor paper, painted with Artistro watercolors, cut out, sprayed with acrylic spray and framed in upcycled shadowbox frames.

All of these blank art cards and matching bookmarks came from one giant flower painting inspired by the flowers blooming in my backyard!
